Add your clip (purple box at the top of a topic) adds your voice to the main timeline. These clips count toward the topic time cap and show in Play all.

Thread reply (under an individual clip) starts a conversation on that clip only. Thread replies do not count toward the main topic time cap.

You cannot add two main-topic clips in a row — wait for someone else to contribute before adding another.

Every clip has a row of small reaction stamps underneath it —😂 😮 🤯 👏 🙌 🎤— a faster alternative to a full thread reply when you just want to react.

• Tap a stamp to add your reaction and it adds to the count.
• Tap it again to remove your reaction.
• You can react with more than one stamp on the same clip, and reaction counts are shared — everyone sees the same total.

Contribute a clip or listen to a topic at least once a day to keep a 🔥 streak going — either one counts, and one is enough. Your day is tracked by UTC time, so the reset may land a few hours off from your local midnight depending on your timezone.

• Miss a full day and your streak resets — it starts back at 1 the next time you're active.
• Your current streak shows on your own profile, next to your Saved count.
• Hitting 3, 7, 14, 30, 100, or 365 days automatically earns a matching badge — no Listens required. Earned badges land straight in your Store inventory, ready to equip like any other badge.

Tap the bookmark icon on any topic to save it to your private Saved library — handy when you find something interesting but cannot listen right away.

Saved topics stay in your library even after they close and stitch into a finished micro-podcast, so you can come back and listen to the full show later. Only you can see what you have saved.

Browsers and phones control microphone access for security. Wavy cannot bypass the first permission prompt, but after you allow access once, recording in the same visit should not ask again.

• When prompted, tap Allow (not Block).
• Desktop (Chrome, Edge, Firefox): click the lock icon in the address bar → Microphone → Allow for this site.
• iPhone (Safari): Settings → Safari → Microphone → allow for livewavy.com. Safari may still ask again in a new browser session — that is normal.
• Android (Chrome): tap the lock icon → Site settings → Microphone → Allow.

If recording says access is blocked, update the setting above, then refresh the page and try again.

When a topic reaches its time cap, Wavy stitches all main clips into one micro-podcast. While that runs, the topic shows a stitching status on its page.

Find completed and in-progress topics under Explore → Finished. Open any finished topic to listen to the full stitched playback at the top of the page.

When you stay on a topic page, new clips from other people should appear automatically within a few seconds — no manual refresh needed.

• Keep the topic tab open and in view while collaborating.
• Background tabs may update more slowly because browsers limit timers when a tab is not active.
• After someone posts, allow a few seconds for upload and processing before the clip appears for everyone.

• AI topic suggestions — when creating a topic, describe a rough idea and get AI-generated title, description, and hashtag suggestions to start from.
• Ask AI to reply — on your own open topics, generate an AI-voiced reply clip in the thread on demand.

Ask AI to reply clips are posted by a shared Wavy AI profile and always marked with an AI badge — this is different from the demo voices below: both use synthesized speech, but Wavy AI replies are triggered on demand by a topic's owner, while demo voices are seeded ahead of time by Wavy to help new topics feel active before real people join.

During the open beta, Wavy may include demo AI voices on some topics so new members can hear how conversations work before many real people join.

• Demo accounts use usernames starting with demo_ (for example @demo_maya).
• Demo clips can appear on topics started by real members — they are seed content, not impersonation.
• Topics that include demo voices show a notice on the topic page and a badge in feeds.
• Everything else you hear is from real Wavy members unless clearly labeled as demo.

Free accounts can record up to 15 seconds per clip. Pro accounts can record up to 30 seconds, unlock AI topic suggestions and Ask AI to reply, and show a Pro badge on posts and clips.
